There is always whispers of concern when any young designer with a particular niche is about to present a new collection, reworking the same idea over and over again has attracted dreadful reviews for the likes of Mark Fast, but for her first stand alone show, Mary proved once again that she has many other tricks up her sleeve as well as being a print genius. She was drawn to the interiors more than the clothes in her inspiration images of 70's photographs of Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton. The images are mirrored and fused to create a 3D surealness brought to life by embroidery, necklaces and curtain-like skirts.
